Early 20th Century French Verdigris Spelter & Marble Dog Sculpture Composition
This antique dog sculpture composition was created in France, circa 1920. Standing on a black marble base, the composition features a pair of proud Labradors, both resting; one on his back legs, the other lying down. The large piece is in excellent condition with wonderful details and a rich verdigris patinated bronze finish. The artist conveys action and energy through the shape, movement and texture of the canine figures, in the manner of Jules Moiniez.
