Crafted in Florence, Italy circa 1910, this two-piece white Carrara marble bust is a true representation of European elegance. The antique figural sculpture, signed on the back by the artist, A. Cipriani, depicts the visage of a beautiful, young girl in a lace dress, a veil covering her head. There are a number of intricate, realistic details throughout her face, hair and clothing. The carving of the young woman is made of an exquisite variegated marble and the bust rest on an oval integral white plinth base. Place this elegant woman bust on a console or a pedestal for a Classic display technique. The large, personalized bust is excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich patinated finish. Adolfo Cipriani (1857-1941) was a Italian sculptor born in Florence, and known for his marble and alabaster works aimed at the international market.
