About
This tall, antique “Aiguiere” (ewer) was sculpted in Normandy, France, circa 1860. Standing on four small feet, this delicate, ornate terracotta pitcher has one large handle, a sloped spout, four feet and an elegant shape overall. The colorful vase features a decorative coat of arms with crown and centre crest on one side, and a hand-painted flower basket on the other side. The jar is in excellent condition and has markings on the bottom with Boulogne-sur-Mer (a city in northern France).
