Keep time in your office, study, or atop your mantel with this elegant antique potico clock. Crafted in France, circa 1860 and standing on bun feet over a rectangular base, the sophisticated clock features four columnar supports decorated with brass ring mounts at both extremities. The housing time and strike movement features black roman numerals surrounded with gilt repousse metal frame. The mechanism with the original pendulum has been checked and cleaned and is wonderful working condition with the original bell. The period Napoleon III time keeper is in excellent condition and adorns a rich mahogany patinated finish (some discoloration on the clock face). Pendulum and winding key included. Plaque on the front which reads: Fra Foreningen Norden 27 juni 1942. Foreningen Norden (Norwegian and Danish); the Norden Associations, sometimes referred to as The Nordic Associations are non-governmental organizations in the Nordic countries promoting civil cooperation between the Nordic countries. Established since 1919, there are Norden Associations in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Greenland, the Faroe Islands and Åland. Since 1965 these national branches are grouped in an umbrella organization Foreningene Nordens Forbund (FNF), The Confederation of Norden Associations.
