Crafted in France circa 1960, the elegant fruit wood “Semainier” stands on cabriole legs ending with front bronze sabots, over a scalloped apron decorated with a center bronze mount. The chest features inlaid geometric marquetry motifs throughout, decorated with bronze mounts along the sides. The cabinet is fitted with seven serpentine drawers embellished with marquetry decor, and dressed with bronze knobs. Both sides have curved lines decorated with inlay parquetry motifs, and the top is dressed with a shaped variegated beige marble surface. The antique cabinet is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich walnut French polish finish. Place this tall multi-drawer chest in your bedroom or bathroom for extra storage! A Semainier is a tall, narrow chest of drawers.
