Elegant and practical, this vintage fireplace tool set combines polished brass with blackened iron details in a restrained Louis XVI-inspired design. Crafted in France circa 1970, the five-piece ensemble includes a freestanding brass serviteur together with four essential fireplace implements: shovel, brush, poker and tongs.

Each tool is fitted with a long slender brass shaft terminating in a finely turned handle with a spherical finial, creating a cohesive and refined appearance. The shovel is fashioned entirely in brass, while the brush retains its dense black bristles. The poker and tongs incorporate contrasting blackened iron working ends, providing both durability and an attractive visual counterpoint to the warm golden brass.

The circular stand is supported by a molded brass base with a textured inset surface and raised gallery, designed to catch stray ash while keeping the tools neatly organized. At the top, a radial brass rack with individual notched holders suspends each implement securely around the central standard and is crowned by a polished ball finial.

With its clean proportions, classical detailing and handsome combination of polished brass and dark iron, the set would complement both traditional and more contemporary fireplaces. The fireplace tools are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, with light surface wear and patina consistent with their vintage character.
