Pair of 19th Century French Gothic Wrought Iron Eight-Light Chandeliers
$5,200
About
This impressive pair of antique chandeliers was crafted in France circa 1880. Forged from substantial wrought iron, each eight-light fixture displays bold Gothic character with elegantly scrolled arms, twisted iron supports, and decorative fleur-de-lis motifs. The iron surface on both pieces shows a beautifully aged, rustic patina, enhanced by traces of original gilt accents that highlight the sculptural detailing. Each chandelier features an arched crown and pierced center finial that lend strong architectural presence, while the gilt fleur-de-lis ornaments emphasize their French origin. Every perimeter arm is fitted with a newly wired candle-form socket, for a total of eight lights per fixture. The suspension rods are adjustable to accommodate various ceiling heights. Both chandeliers are fully functional and come ready for installation with color-matched canopies, loops, and chains. In excellent condition commensurate with age and use, this rare 19th-century French pair offers dramatic symmetry and scale. Ideal above a long dining table, flanking a great room or gallery space, or suspended over a kitchen island with historic character. Measures (each): 37″ W x 23″ D x 27.25″ H.
