Crafted in France circa 1950, the tables are designed in the Louis XV taste and showcase graceful cabriole legs, serpentine lines, and fine craftsmanship throughout. The shaped cases are veneered in richly figured mahogany with a warm, lustrous finish accented by finely cast ormolu mounts featuring foliate motifs at the corners and scrolling decoration along the apron.
Each table is topped with its original shaped white marble surface embellished with delicate beige and gray veining and framed by a molded brass gallery. A shaped lower shelf, also trimmed in brass, provides additional display space while reinforcing the elegant silhouette. The combination of richly figured wood, luxurious marble, and decorative ormolu mounts creates a sophisticated look equally suited to traditional and transitional interiors.
The pair is sturdy, structurally sound, and in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, with a beautiful patinated finish, minor age-appropriate wear, and well-preserved marble tops.
