This elegant, antique fountain was crafted in France, circa 1780. In the past, this kind of lavabos was actually used for hand washing. This water fountain is made of pewter with bronze faucets, and rests on the original carved fruitwood stand with cabriole legs. The piece has a large carved shell motif at the top with delicate, decorative carvings on the apron and feet. Excellent condition with rich walnut patina. Measures: 23″ W x 17″ D x 77″ H.
