Decorate a garden, courtyard, terrace, or entryway with this impressive vintage cast stone eagle statue on pedestal. Crafted circa 1950, the outdoor sculpture is made of pierre reconstituée (reconstituted stone), a traditional cast stone material prized for its substantial weight, durability, and authentic garden presence. The proud eagle stands on a naturalistic rocky base, with deeply molded feather details, strong talons, and a sharply defined beak, giving the piece a stately architectural character.
The eagle rests on a separate round cast stone pedestal decorated with fluted side motifs and a carved architectural band around the lower section. The surface has developed a wonderful weathered patina from outdoor exposure, with soft gray tones, natural moss accents, and aged garden character throughout. Heavy and substantial, the two-piece statue would make a striking focal point at the end of a walkway, beside a fountain, on a terrace, or near an entrance.
The composite garden statue is in excellent condition commensurate with age and outdoor use, with expected surface wear, weathering, and patina.
