Mid-Century Louis XV French Marble Top Walnut Marquetry Oval Side Table
Crafted in France circa 1950 and built of walnut, the oval table sits on four cabriole legs decorated with brass mounts at the shoulders, ending with bronze sabots. The side table features detailed marquetry work around the apron, and is further dressed with a drawer decorated with geometric motifs. The luxurious variegated beige marble top is set inside an intricate pierced gallery rim around the edges. The delicate oval end table is outfitted with a bottom shelf decorated with inlaid geometric motif and dressed with a brass band around the edges. The elegant table is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich walnut patina throughout. Use this petite fruitwood table as an occasional side table in a formal living room, or place it as a beside cabinet next to a bed. Measures: 20.75″ W x 16″ D x 27″ H.
