Pair of Mid-Century French Louis XVI Painted Porcelain Urns Sevres Style
Decorate a buffet or a mantel with this large pair of antique porcelain urns. Crafted in France circa 1950 in the manner of Sevres, each colorful vase is mounted on a circular base decorated with acanthus leaf motif in high reliefs and embellished with carved side masque handles; each tall vessel is hand painted with family portrait scenes on a Celeste blue background. The Campagna form vases are further dressed with egg and dart rim. The elegant urns are in excellent condition, beautifully painted, and decorated with gilt accents throughout. Measures: 17″ diameter 23″ height.
