For the ultimate fisherman or bird hunter, look no further than this exquisite Black Forest buffet! Crafted in France, circa 1860, the antique cabinet sits on bun feet over a recessed base plinth decorated with hand carved leaf motifs. The buffet with extended corners, is dressed with turned and spline side columns embellished with floral motifs at the shoulders. The cabinet features two side by side drawers across the front, dressed with hand carved branch form handles and grape and foliage decor, over a pair of double doors. Each door panel is heavily carved with bird and fish medallions in high relief. The inside reveals a central shelf for ultimate storage. The Henri II style buffet is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich light oak finish, associated with fine detailed carvings. Key included.
