19th Century French Gothic Wrought Iron Eight-Light Chandelier with Gilt Accents
$2,600
About
This impressive antique chandelier was crafted in France circa 1880. Forged from heavy wrought iron, the eight-light fixture showcases bold Gothic design with scrolled arms, twisted supports, and decorative Fleur-de-Lis motifs. The iron surface is finished with a naturally aged, rustic patina, richly contrasted by remnants of gilt accents that highlight the decorative details. The chandelier’s arched frame and pierced center finial create a strong architectural presence, while the Fleur-de-Lys embellishments emphasize its French origin. Each perimeter arm is fitted with a newly wired candle-form socket, bringing the total to eight lights. The fixture is fully functional and ready for installation. The suspension rod at the top is adjustable, making it versatile for different ceiling heights. This rare 19th-century French light fixture is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use. A dramatic statement piece, it would be ideal above a dining table, in a grand entryway, over a kitchen island, or in a living room with historic character. Included: a canopy, loop and chain, each color-matched to the fixture. Measures: 37″ W x 23″ D x 42.5″ H (adjustable).
